An operations manager oversees (directs) the production of goods and/or provision of services in a business. The aim of this role is to ensure the business runs effectively (does exactly what it is organized for…), operates efficiently (its outputs are relatively higher than its inputs), and managed economically (careful use of resources). In many industries, an operations manager is synonymous with its CEO.
