Projects are used to manage inevitable change and solve business problems. They can range from upgrading IT systems, developing products, organizing campaigns to research endeavors.


Course Overview

To introduce project characteristics, processes, management methodology, and underpinning principles. From lifecycle models, organization strategy, budgeting, risk, and handling closeouts.


Business Lab

This course includes exercises, simulations, and case study that will allow you to apply the ideas from this course and develop the required skills in the following areas:

  • Use PLC models and PMBoK to develop a PMM
  • Construct a WBS, network diagrams and estimate task duration
  • Analyze critical paths and review project plans
  • Allocate costs to a project plan
  • Perform earned value analysis
  • Respond to schedules and cost changes
  • Apply cost estimation techniques – take ‘The estimation challenge‘
  • Carry out project appraisals at the various stages of the PLC
