Supply Logistics is the commercial activity of planning, controlling, and managing the forward and reverse movement of goods, services, and information along the tiers of a supply chain to meet demand requirements.
Course Overview
This course introduces specific components for evaluating, managing, and planning the movement of goods and services along with a supply chain network. It incorporates types of logistic networks, material flow, and operational management, as well as a host of typical external influences on logistics.
Business Lab
The business lab includes exercises, simulations, and case study that will allow you to apply the ideas shared in this course and develop the required skills in the following areas:
- Make decisions for a 3PL about the capacity of supply chain partner(s)
- Forecasting stock orders along the tiers of a supply chain network
- Dealing with certainty and uncertainty in demand and supply
- Create multi-job routing schedules for stock
- Develop/use ‘what if’ scenarios to see the effect on operational changes
- Taming the ‘Bullwhip’
