Overview of the 6 sigma methodology
The 6 sigma methodology is a quality control program developed by Motorola in 1986 that focuses on cyclical improvements and reduction of defects in its manufactured products. This ideology has also evolved to statistical improvements in business processes. For any business, it contributes immensely to achieving consistent quality as a competitive priority.
In this session, we introduce the key principles, terms, and definitions of 6 Sigma, as well as its 5 process steps for implementing it as a quality management methodology.
