Project Planning, Scheduling & Budgeting
7

Description

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. But, deciding how you will go about achieving the goal and staying with the plan, is what’s important…” – Tom Landry

A schedule, ensures that the project’s objectives of cost, time, and, quality are met.  Scheduling is done by estimating the number of tasks required after agreeing to the scope, timing each of these tasks, and working out the overall duration of the process.

Course overview

This course focuses on how to create a project plan and schedule in 7 steps: defining project scope, creating work breakdown structure (WBS), driving the plan down to task level (work package), deciding precedence relationships, analyzing the network of tasks,  estimating resource requirement and using earned value management to monitor project progress.
